Caves of Labastide
15,000 years ago, a group of nomadic hunters stayed regularly in Labastide, in the Baronnies valley in the heart of the Pyrenees. These men left in a secret cave, magnificent testimonies and treasures: more than 200 engravings of bison, horses, lions, birds, men… and a magnificent polychrome painting of an almost life-sized horse.
Today, the Espace PREHISTOIRE de LABASTIDE invites you to follow in their footsteps and discover in an exceptional geological site, their way of life and their culture during a very playful visit but also rich in discoveries and teachings for young and old.
